Jason Harris Psychologist
Jason is a registered psychologist with 15 years experience working in demanding clinical settings, including the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Corrective Services NSW. These roles have involved supporting people facing high levels of stress, trauma, and anxiety, often in complex and challenging environments.
Jason’s approach is evidence-based, with a strong focus on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Jason works in a goal focused and structured way, helping people to understand what is maintaining their difficulties and developing practical skills that contribute to meaningful and lasting change.
Jason has a strong interest in trauma and anxiety disorders and is experienced in providing CBT and Prolonged Exposure Therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), including intensive and or online delivery where appropriate. Jason aims to create a supportive and respectful therapeutic environment while also helping clients effectively face the things they have been avoiding.
Jason works with adults and older adolescents and places a high value on clarity, honesty, and practical progress in therapy. Jason’s goal is to help people reduce distress, build confidence in managing their problems, and get back to living a life that matters to them.
